Obituary of CHARLES FITZGERALD

Charles Fitzgerald died suddenly Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. He was 84. Born in Bloomingdale, Mr. Fitzgerald had lived in Pine Brook, Lake Hiawatha, and West Caldwell before coming to Parsippany 21 years ago. Mr. Fitzgerald had served in the United States Merchant Marines and Army. He had worked as a driver and plant worker with Garden State Propane Gas Co, now Synergy Gas, in Parsippany for over 40 years, retiring 18 years ago. Mr. Fitzgerald was a longtime volunteer with the West Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department and a former member fo St. Peter's Golden Age Club in Parsippany. Survivors include his wife Janet F. Fitzgerald (nee Winner); children, Charles Fitzgerald Jr. of Woodlands, TX., Donna Bourbeau of Salisbury, NH., John D. Fitzgerald of Eugene, OR., and honorary daughter, Patty Constantine of Rockaway; a brother, Frank Fitzgerald of Panama, City, FL. two grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren. At Charlie's request, all arrangements are private.
