Obituary of MARIE M. SANTORO

Marie M. Santoro (nee Teresa) 92, a matriarch, cherished wife, wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully away Thursday evening, Aug. 6, 2020 at the Hospice at Morristown Medical Center. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Mrs. Santoro was a longtime resident of the Whippany section of Hanover Township, NJ. Mrs. Santoro had worked as a bookkeeper at Prudential Insurance in Newark, prior marrying her husband. She later became a full-time homemaker, lovingly raising five children. She was a member and former President of the Elizabeth Ann Seton Council of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael P. Santoro Jr.; and her three dear brothers, Thomas, Charles, and Frankie Teresa. Survivors include her five loving children and their spouses, Andrea M. Adamcik (John) of East Hanover, Donna M. Santoro of Whippany, Janine M. Schwab (Michael) of Parsippany, Dr. Michael P. Santoro III (Sonia) of Freehold, and Charles R. Santoro Sr., (Jodi) of East Hanover; ten grandchildren, Marie Gaudert, Carmelo Bianchi Sr., Michael Bianchi Sr., Gabrielle Schwab, Michael Schwab Jr., Brandon Schwab, Michael P. Santoro IV, Sonia Santoro, Kaitlin Santoro, and Charles Santoro Jr.; and eight great-grandchildren, Adrianna Bianchi, Lucianna Bianchi, Carmelo Bianchi Jr., Dominic Gaudert, Frankie Gaudert, Michael Bianchi Jr., Giavanna Bianchi, and Malania Bianchi. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to the Alzheimers Association (www.alz.org).
