Obituary of JAMES CIMIS

James Cimis, age 81, died on August 22, 2020, in Parsippany, NJ following a short illness. James is survived by his loving wife of almost 62 years, Judith Ann Cimis and daughters, Lori Ann Lusardi (Terry), of Madison NJ and Anna Marie Tucker (David), of The Woodlands TX, his grandchildren Amanda Ziola, Stephanie Lusardi, Brady Tucker, Elizabeth Williamson, Payton Tucker and Jessica Lusardi. He is also survived by numerous extended family including his sister-in-law, Paula Avanti, nephews, Neil O'Grady, Matthew O'Grady, Kenneth Nord, Joseph Nord, Adam Avanti and niece, Anna Atkinson. He is preceded in death by his parents Ciro Cimis and Antonette Ambrogio of Fair Lawn, NJ and his son, John James Cimis, of Parsippany NJ and sister-in-law, Eleana Nord. James was born on February 6,1939 in Patterson NJ to Ciro Cimis and Antonette Ambrogio. He graduated from Patterson High in Patterson, NJ. He later received education as an architectural draftsman and worked at various architectural agencies prior to retiring. James was a devoted husband and a loving father. He married Judith Ann Manfra in Glen Rock, NJ on September 6, 1958. Jim and Judy had 3 children together, Lori Ann, John James and Anna Marie. James served in the US Army and National Guard. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in The Old Guard, Chapter 19, the local Italian Club and had spent countless hours volunteering for The Arc (serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities) of Morris Town NJ. He was also an active member of St. Peter's the Apostle Church in Parsippany NJ. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving husband, father and uncle. Due to COVID 19, a virtual funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26th at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to The Arc Morris County Chapter, P.O.
