Obituary of JUNE HENRICHSON WILLIAMS

June Henrichson Williams , 78, died peacefully, Friday evening, September 14, 2012 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton Township following a valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born and raised in Alexandria, Louisana, she had lived on Long Island, NY, in Morristown, NJ and Hendersonville, NC before coming to Boonton, NJ in 2009.
She was employed at Morristown Memorial Hospital, first as a secretary for the Director of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, and later as a Salary Coordinator with the Personnel Department before retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Williams had been active with the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, where she served as president of the United Presbyterian Women, and was a member of the Session and Chair of the Management and Administration Committee during the late 1970's/ early 1980's; and later became active in the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville, NC.
Following her retirement to North Carolina, Mrs. Williams earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2001 at the age of 67.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul J. Williams, and a daughter, Debbie Moro.
Survivors include her son, Steven Williams and his partner Kurt Gahan of Boonton; a daughter, Shela Williams and her partner Deborah Wade of Durham, NC; a sister, Mary V. Scott and her husband Rev. Charles Scott of Jasper, GA.; and two granddaughters, Jessica Yaden and Emily Moro.
In lieu of flowers, donations to either Parkinson's Disease Foundation or St. Andrew's Lutheran Church would be most appreciated.
