Obituary of POLINA YURKOVSKY

Polina Yurkovsky (nee Ackerman) passed peacefully away Wednesday morning September 2, 2020 at her home in Parsippany, NJ. She was 85. Born in Lublin, Poland, she had lived in Tbilisi, Georgia before immigrating to the United States in 1991, and settling in Brooklyn, NY. She had also lived in Queens, NY before coming to Parsippany, NJ in 2001. Mrs. Yurkovsky earned her bachelors Degree in Education while living in Georgia and was an elementary and middle school teacher with the Tbilisi Public School System before retiring in 1990. Mrs. Yurkovsky was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark Yurkovsky earlier this year, and her four sisters, Bronya, Alena, Klara, and Lydia. She is survived by her two sons, Gary Yurkovsky and his wife Irene of Rockaway and Greg Yurkovsky and his wife, Lily of Denville; two grandchildren, Berta and Helen; and three great-grandchildren, Alexie, Brody, and Charlize.
