Jayantilal B. Patel passed away Monday evening, September 21, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown. He was 83.
Born in Baroda, Gujarat, India, he immigrated to the United States in 1989, settling in Jersey City. He had been a resident of Parsippany-Troy Hills since 2004.
Mr. Patel earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemistry while in India.
Once in America, he owned and operated the People News Center in New York, NY preceding his retirement.
Predeceased by his wife, Jashodaben J. Patel; he is survived by five children, Dharmistha Patel (Jyontidra) of Texas, Smita Amin (Rashmi) of Illinois, Rashmikaben Patel (Hemant) of Parsippany, Kalpesh Patel (Binita) of Pennsylvania, and Shital Patel (Sanjay) of Parsippany; ,two brothers, Praful Patel and Ghanshyam Patel; and nine grandchildren, Umang, Isika, Shelly, Shivam, Nishil, Priyal, Namita, Amit, and Rashena.
