Obituary of RAMONA IRIZARRY

Ramona Irizarry (nee Rosado) passed peacefully away Thursday morning, January 28, 2021 at Morris View Nursing Home, in Morris Township, NJ. She was 88. Born in Aguavija, Puerto Rico, Mrs. Irizarry moved to Bronx, NY at the age of 14. She had lived in Bronx, NY, Rego Park, NY, and Bushkill, PA, before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany seven years ago. Mrs. Irizarry had worked as a bookkeeper at Witco Chemical, and later Bankers Trust, both at the World Trade Center in New York, NY preceding her retirement many years ago. She was also a loving homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jacob Lopez; her parents, Eustaqerio (Raymond) and Providencia (nee Hernandez) Rosado; and a brother, Luis "Louie" Rosado. Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, Fred Irizarry; her two loving children, Dennis Lopez and his wife, Sonia of Brooklyn, NY, and Ivette Martinez of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; her siblings, Ralph Rosado of Lake Carmel, NY, Carmen Lopez of Glen Cove, NY, Hilda Tiburzy of Lake Hiawatha, NJ and Judy Vigouroux of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; three grandchildren, Joseph Lopez, William Lopez, and Samantha Martinez; and five great-grandchildren.
