Obituary of FLORENCE SVETIK

Florence Svetik (nee Policastro) passed away peacefully Friday evening, Jan. 29, 2021 at her Parsippany home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 87. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she had lived in Parsippany since 1980. Mrs. Svetik had worked as a legal secretary with the Kannengiser Law Firm in Lake Hiawatha. She also had an active role in watching her grandchildren for the last 24 years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Michael C. Svetik; two beloved children, Maryann Vanadia and her husband, Chris of Roxbury, and Paul Svetik and his wife, Carol of Bloomfield; and her five cherished grandchildren, Gabrielle & Michelle Vanadia, and Christopher, Janie, and Jack Svetik. Florence was preceded in death by her five siblings.
