Obituary of FRANCES CARAVAGGIO

Frances Caravaggio (nee Fariello) passed away suddenly, Sunday May 30, 2021 at the Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains. She was 88. Born and raised in Morristown, NJ she had been a resident of the Cedar Knolls section of Hanover Township for the last 14 years. Mrs. Caravaggio was a homemaker. Frances was a longtime parishioner and a "fixture" at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Cedar Knolls where she was a Eucharistic Minister and soup kitchen volunteer. She loved to cook homemade Italian meals for the priests in the parish. Frances was also an avid BINGO player and travelled weekly with her friends to various BINGO games in the area. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Theresa Caravaggio Alapeck; a granddaughter, Danielle Caravaggio; and her five siblings. Survivors include her three loving sons, Robert J. Caravaggio of Cedar Knolls, NJ, Anthony P. Caravaggio and his wife, Jacqueline Marie of Hopatcong, NJ, and John Caravaggio and his fiancée, Phyllis Colangelo of Morris Plains, NJ; six grandchildren, Robert E. Caravaggio, Carmela Caravaggio, Jamie Theresa Caravaggio, Jessica Frances Bocchino, Alison Traverso, and Diana Caravaggio; and eight great-grandchildren, Zaila Lucia, Sophia Marie, Michael, Christian, Giselle, Anthony, Dominic, and Giuseppe.
