Mary Griffoul (nee Schlegel), 78, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, September 7, 2021 at her home in Montville Township, NJ. Born and raised in Lyndhurst, NJ, Mrs. Griffoul had lived in Fairfield before coming to Montville 19 years ago. She had been a receptionist with American Fuji Seal in Fairfield before retiring 20 years ago. Mary found a lot of comfort with her dog Lola. She considered her greatest accomplishments to be her daughters and grandchildren and her precious volleyball medal. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Griffoul and a sister, Roberta Gramsammer; she is survived by three loving daughters and their spouses, Karen Arkin (Michael) of New Hyde Park, NY, Donna Vizzuso (Frank) of Montville, and Nancy Festini (David) of Montville; and eight beloved grandchildren, David, Daniel and Hannah Arkin, Aimee, Kellie, and Emilee Vizzuso, and Julia and Matthew Festini. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (http://komen.org). For further info, please see www.parsippanyfuneral.com.
