Obituary of SEYMOUR ENGLEBERG

Seymour "Sy" Engleberg passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, November 3, 2021 at the Pine Acres Health Center in Madison. He was 96. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Engleberg was a longtime resident of the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Township, NJ. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Engleberg was a salesman with the Jonathan Logan Garment Center in New York City for 30 years. Affectionately known as "Coach Sy," he was also the tennis professional at White Meadow Lake for over 30 years. He retired 22 years ago. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irene M. Engleberg (nee Fishman) in 2003; a son, Terry Engleberg; his brother, Murray; and his sister, Judy. Survivors include his loving children, Steven Engleberg and his wife, Leslie of New Milford, NJ, Hope Wainer and her husband, Rob of Rockaway, NJ, and Mindy Petrillo and her husband, Tom of Wharton, NJ; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. At the family's request Funeral Services and Interment at Cedar Park Cemetery will be held privately.
