Obituary of GELSOMINA LABAGNARA

Gelsomina Labagnara (nee Napolitano) passed away Thursday evening, December 23, 2021 at the JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida surrounded by her family. She was 87/ Born in Naples, Italy, she had lived many years in Venezuela before immigrating to the United States in 1986. Gelsomina had lived in the Whippany section of Hanover before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 2003. Mrs. Labagnara had worked as a seamstress for many years. She also worked at the former Crestwood Nursing Home in Whippany for ten years, retiring 25 years ago. Mrs. Labagnara is survived by her beloved husband, Guido Labagnara; five loving children, Filomena Labagnara and Gianna Marotta both of Venezuela, Maria Gethins of Lake Hiawatha; Flavio Labagnara and his wife Liliana of Cedar Grove, and Jose Domingo Labagnara and his wife Rosa of Lake Hopatcong; a brother Pasquale Napolitano of Naples; nine grandchildren, Kevin Labagnara, Brendan Gethins III, Nico Labagnara, and Ty Labagnara, as well as five grandchildren in Venezuela, and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters in Italy.
