Eleanor (Elly) Taylor-Kerstanski passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 9th, 2022 at the age of 87 with her son and daughter by her side at her home in Mt. Arlington, NJ.
Born on May 7th, 1934 in Englewood, NJ, Elly was raised in Palisades Park, NJ and attended Leonia High School. She was a former resident of New Milford, Lake Glenwood, Barnegat and residing in Mt Arlington, NJ for the past 3 years.
Predeceased by her parents, Suzanna & Jacob Muller, her husband James Taylor and son-in-law Steven Tuzio. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John Kerstanski and her loving children, Scott Taylor & wife Laurene of Warwick and Karen Taylor Tuzio of Rockaway, along with her cherished grandchildren, Lindsey Taylor Sciandra & husband Andrew, Ryan Tuzio, Kelli Taylor Friedler & husband Scotty, and Danielle Tuzio and blessed with two great- grandsons, Bryce Friedler and Hunter Sciandra who she adored. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Muller and sister in law Christel Taylor, along with her nieces and their families.
Elly loved to sing and dance no matter where she went. As a young teen she appeared on radio in New York City singing on local radio stations. Elly sang soprano, played the piano and was a member of local choral groups and could be heard singing in her church choirs, along with a few gigs singing solos for weddings. She loved watching the NY Giants, Army & Notre Dame football. She was an avid viewer of Fox News and Jeopardy. Elly loved to travel, loved being anywhere near water whether it was the lake, ocean or pool. She was loved by family and many friends near and far and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022 at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ from 4:00-8:00pm. Services Friday,January 14, 2022 11:00am at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
