Obituary of EUGENE D. BRUCE

Eugene David Bruce peacefully passed away on January 27, 2022. He was 95 years old. Born in Newark NJ, he was a longtime resident of Lake Hiawatha before moving to Pompton Plains in 2012. He worked for Rowe International, Whippany NJ as a Foreman for almost 50 years before retiring in 1992. Eugene was a longtime parishioner and usher at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Parsippany . Mr. Bruce was predeceased in death by his beloved wife Marie (nee: Gilchrist) in 1974, and his loving daughter Linda Bruce in 2012. He was also predeceased by his brother Louis Bruce, and his sisters Laura Nowacki, Camile Paraboschi and Carlette McGuire. Eugene is survived by his loving daughters Nancy Knops and her husband Darrel of Kinnelon and Susan Elliott and her husband Scott of Sparta. Eugene delighted in being Poppy to Amanda Farley (Jon), Bruce Knops (Emma), Vanessa Knops, Jessica Elliott (Mazen Abdelmaguid), Samantha Elliott. Survivors also include his brother Charles Paraboschi, his sisters Claire Basile and Frances Neri. He is also survived and will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday 2/4/22 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 N. Beverwyck Rd, Lake Hiawatha, NJ 07034. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday 2/5/2022 at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle RC Church, Parsippany. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
