Linda Marie Bruce passed away suddenly Saturday morning, October 13, 2012 at St. Clares Hospital in Denville. She was 51.
Born in Newark, NJ, Ms. Bruce was a lifelong resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany.
A 1979 graduate of Parsippany High School, she earned her Bachelors Degree from Montclair State College in 1983.
She had worked as a business analyst with The Pearson Group in Upper Saddle River for 16 years. Previously, she worked in the same capacity with Penguin Publishers in Rutherford.
Ms. Bruce was preceded in death by her mother Marie F. (nee Gilchrist) Bruce. Survivors include her father Eugene "Gene" Bruce of Lake Hiawatha,; two sisters, Nancy Knops and her husband Darrel of Kinnelon, and Susan Elliott and her husband Scott of Sparta; and her fiancee Tom Hamilton of Peckville, PA. She was also "the best aunt ever" to her nieces and nephew Amanda, Bruce, and Vanessa Knops and Jessica and Samantha Elliott.
In light of Linda's love for all animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to one's local chapter of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
