Obituary of ELSA G. SCHANTZ

Elsa G. Schantz passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her home in Mount Arlington. She was 89. Born in Sweeden, Mrs. Schants moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1957. She had lived in California, Rockaway Township, Parsippany, and Denville before moving to Mount Arlington in 2005. Mrs. Schantz worked as a home health care aide with Visiting Home Health Services of Morris County for 15 years before retiring in 1990. She was a former member of the Lake Hiawatha Seniors. Mrs. Schantz was preceded in death by her husband David O. Schantz. Survivors include her son, James A. Risberg of Rockaway; her daughter, Susan D. Tate of Lake Hopatcong; and several grandchildren. Arrangements will be private per Elsa's request. Memorial gifts can be made to the American Cancer Society.
