Sister Lucille Francis Raniszewski, 74, a Sister of Charity of St. Elizabeth, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. Sister Lucille Francis was born in Newark, NJ , the daughter of Joseph and Sophie Hedwig (Guziejewski) Raniszewski. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 6, 1956 and was a member for 56 years. She graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth , Convent Station, NJ with a B.A. degree in Social Studies. Sister Lucille Francis was an educator in the State of New Jersey. She served as a teacher at St. Bridget School, Jersey City; St. Rose of Lima School, Newark; and St. Peter's School, Belleville. She retired to Caritas Community, Jersey City, NJ in 2006 and to St. Elizabeth Convent, Convent Station, NJ in 2009 where she resided to her death. Sister is survived by a brother, James Raniszewski of Middleburg, Florida; a sister-in-law, Ann Raniszewski of Woodstock, Vermont; and a niece, Michele Rozmiarek of Beverly, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that contributions be made to the Sisters of Charity, P.O. Box 476, Convent Station, NJ 07961.
