Obituary of IRENE J. LAUDATI

Irene J. Laudati (nee Ferrence) passed away Tuesday morning, March 12, 2013 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She was 88. Born and raised in Elizabeth, she had lived in Newark and Bloomfield, before moving to Pine Brook in 1988. Mrs. Laudati was a "Rosie the Riveter." She had worked assembling B29 Airplanes during World War II. Later she worked as an insurance underwriter with Empire Mutual Insurance in Bloomfield, and Gateway Insurance in East Orange before her retirement. She was an active woman and continued to work and drive well into her 80's. She was preceded in death by her loving husband James G. Laudati in 1968, and her beloved son-in-law Russell Moran in 2011. Survivors include her loving daughter, Esther A. Moran; her granddaughter, Jaime Novak; her great-granddaughter, Makenzie Novak; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lois Laudati; her God daughter, Donna Laudati; and her nieces and nephews, Joan Piccione, John Komanitsky, Edward and Jeff Olbreys, Robert Laudati Jr., Carleen Riley, and Arleen Rochacewicz.
