Colleen Ann DeMarco (nee Green) passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at home in the presence of her family following a year-long battle with brain cancer. She was 58.
Born and raised in Jersey City, she lived in Maywood and came to the Pompton Plains section of Pequannock 28 years ago.
Mrs. DeMarco was a clerk, and later a manager with the United States Postal Service in Pompton Plains for over 25 years.
She was active with Line Dancing and Bowling Leagues, and was the founder and treasurer of the Northern New Jersey Post Office Softball League.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Turner and Blanche (nee Gaul) Green; and a brother, Kevin Green.
Survivors include her husband Leonard DeMarco; her three children, Michael A. DeMarco of Butler, Jessica A. DeMarco of Dobbs Ferry, NY, and Samantha Bridges and her husband Brandon of Maryland; and four siblings, Michaleen Green of Beechwood, Celeste Zagarola of Metucheon, Turner Green Jr. of Florida, and Jean Diamond of Wanaque.
