My prayers go out to Roy's family and friends. As numerous articles have repeatedly stated, Roy helped so many people follow their passion and believe in themselves. He brought magic to the theatre community and he will be sorely missed. Having met Roy while touring in a Theatreworks, USA production at Paper Mill, I was later blessed to have him as a mentor and friend when I decided to change course and see what producing was all about. He gave me an opportunity that I will always cherish, and I can say from personal experience working with Roy that he wanted only the best out of life and for all of those around him. He lived for the theatre and he loved it! Forever a friend, Roy, I will miss you. God bless! P.S. Hope you can enjoy an adult beverage with Eddie Bracken up there in heaven.

I met Roy a little over a year ago and in that too short of a time he became one of the most important people in my life. We practiced difficult things together, like saying I love you when it matters. I'm grateful for every second I had with him... and only wish there were more. My heart goes out to his family and all of us he touched along his way. He is a very special man, one of the Greatest that's ever been. He is who I would turn to in times like these...that smile and those sparkly eyes that always found what was funny in every situation. I'm sure he's smiling even now. I'm still in shock that my good friend Roy is suddenly gone. Not only was he a great Producer with fearless vision and class but everyone he touched with his wonderful funny and giving soul loved him. We first worked together on Children of Eden and have been friends ever since and had been collaborating on several projects. I will miss our meetings at the Angus Bar and all of his late night phone calls and texts about who he's dating. Most of all I will miss him and regret that I cannot be at the service to pass on my condolences to his family because of being on the west coast. My heart, thoughts and prayers will be there.

I am so sorry for your loss. My memories of Roy go all the way back to the late 1970's when we needed an immediate emergency replacement Tony for "West Side Story." We raced to New York and ran through so many unsuitable actors... absolutely ready to give up when Roy entered the room late in the evening. He lit up the place. That's how I'll always remember him... a real shining star on stage and later, a superstar behind the scenes. May God bless you all and give you only bright, shining memories of Roy.

I am so truly sorry for your loss. I have known Roy since school days in Irvington and of course from his days as an altar boy at St. Leo's. We kept in touch over the years and was invited to the Papermill for plays as well as NYC. He was truly a special person and had the smile of a cherub....I am deeply saddened by his untimely passing and he will always hold a very special place in my heart. You are all in my prayers.

I am so very saddened by this news. Roy was a former schoolmate and friend, a real talent and a genuinely nice person. He pursued his dreams and achieved them with success and, most importantly, with much grace. I communicated with him not so long ago for the first time in many years, and he was the same young man I had always known. Grounded and down to earth. I will always remember him as my leading man in our high school play so many years ago. A great loss at such a young age. My deepest sympathies go out to his family. May he rest in peace. I will always remember him fondly and lovingly.

I owe so much to Roy. I go back to the old Neils new Yorker Dinner Theatre and then Paper Mill Playhouse. However, it is Roy Miller that made it possible for me to say that I am now a Drama Desk and Tony Award Nominated Producer. I tried so often to show him my appreciation, offered to take him out to dinner, etc. over and over. But he wouldn't hear of it.. To this day I feel I haven't been able to really thank him.. One of my favorite Roy moments... In our first show together back in High School, I went up on my lines and it was just Roy and I on stage. When I turned to him with that deer in the headlights look... and just rambled some non-scripted who knows what at him, he just looked me in the eye and said "so I've heard..." over and over and over, as I blurted out more gibberish! We found our way back to the script and off the stage at the end of the scene... To this day, Roy Miller is the reason I'm the "go-to girl" when I'm on stage and someone else goes up... he taught me to learn how to keep going and help a fellow actor out! AND every time I help someone out and they later thank me, to the day, I tell them my Roy story... I will miss you my sweet friend, but you will always be with me every time I'm on stage. Sending prayer and thoughts to Roy's family.

We met doing a production of They're Playing Our Song in Birmingham, MI. back in the '80s. He, Kathy Faul Hoovler and I shared a big house together. He succeeded at making us howl with laughter by setting up different hilarious scenarios that would surprise and delight us when we got home from the show! I never knew what to expect, but it was always a blast.
It remains one of my favorite show-biz memories...waiting to see what Roy would come up with next!!!. Too soon gone. too soon.
