I am truly saddened by Kevin's death. Kevin was more than just a colleague at work; he was an amazing person and friend. Over the years he taught me about business, leadership, and life and I am fortunate to have known him. We shared a special bond when my 3 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite his own struggles, or perhaps because of them, Kevin always had encouraging words for me. His family was the most important thing in his life. I remember him telling me how lucky he was to be the one diagnosed with cancer and not one of his children. Kevin was a rock. He focused on the bright side and was quick to add humor to a situation.
Kevin's passing will leave a void in the hearts of everyone who knew him and his memory will always remain deep within my heart. I started raising money for cancer research when my daughter was diagnosed and I will continue to raise money in Kevin's honor.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with Kevin's family.

To say Kevin was an opinionated man would be putting it lightly. Kevin's bold and passionate character influenced the lives of many including myself, my lifetime friend, Chris, and all of our childhood friends that frequented the Candio household. The Candio's have always had an open door to Chris' s friends and despite our attempts early on to interrupt Kevin's work with the heated afterschool basketball competitions in the driveway, we knew he enjoyed our presence as he came out to critique our play with a smirk on his face. As we grew older and found new ways to cause trouble, as teenage boys will do, Kevin would always spread his wisdom and life lessons often accompanied by his much appreciated witty remarks. He will forever be a part of the memories of my youth and I will deeply miss him. My heart goes out to the family he has left behind and I hope that time will bring solace as he lies peacefully now.

Like so many have said so well - Kevin was my mentor, my teacher, but most importantly my friend, and I will be forever grateful to have know him.
Kevin's passing is crushing.

Kevin's career guidance and 25 year friendship has been invaluable to my adult life. Kevin was always looking after career paths of people that reported to him instead of being so overly concern with his own. This selfless concern displayed itself again to me when he told me that he was not as concerned about dying as he was of leaving his family behind. God knows family was always first with Kevin.
