Obituary of KEVIN F. CANDIO
Please share a memory of KEVIN to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kevin Candio, beloved husband, father, brother, and son, died on May 3, 2013. His devoted wife, Janice, was holding his hand as he began his journey home.
Born in Lyndhurst, Kevin was a resident of Montville and Ship Bottom.
He attended Xavier High School, graduated from St. Peter's College, and earned an MBA in Finance from FDU. He had a highly successful business career and was also a talented guitarist-singer-songwriter.
More importantly, Kevin was an exceptional human being. He had depth of character, a strong sense of ethics, and was a compassionate man. He also had a sharp sense of humor that entertained us all. Kevin's family and friends provided constant support to him during his courageous battle with cancer. His passing is an enormous loss to the many who loved him.
Kevin will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Janice (nee Gyurik), and his children Christopher, Kenny, and Jenna. He is also survived by his mother Irene Mennitt, his brothers Stephen and wife Beth, Frank and wife Sue, and his sisters Margaret (Maggie) and husband Chris Sekel, and Victoria (Bunny). His many nieces and nephews are saddened by this immeasurable loss as well. His dedicated friends deeply mourn the passing of this remarkable man. Kevin was predeceased by his father, Francis Candio and his stepfather Louis Mennitt. Kevin was greatly loved and will be terribly missed.
Beyond the door
There's peace, I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven.
