I am so saddened by this news. What a wonderful man to be around. Sonny could hold a conversation with you about anything, and when he asked how you and the family were doing, you KNEW it was from the heart, and that he was genuinely interested in knowing. And I can't recall a time that I didn't see him smiling.
Sonny, have happy memories of many family get-togethers in NJ and PA, and I am sure there are a few Baratas embracing you right about now.

Uncle Don was everything an uncle should be. Growing up, he was a second father to me and treated me like a son. The impact he has had and will always have on my life will continue to live on in me and my family. For that reason, he will live on in all of us. To me, not just an uncle, but a second father, a brother and most of all, a friend.

Will always remember the fond memories of happy, LOUD family times in Aunt Mary's basement. The conversation was robust and the pounds of pasta were cooking on the stove in the kitchen. Magical! RIP, dear cousin, there is a happy reunion in Heaven!
