I was fortunate to "hang" with Carl's Mom on many occasions when they lived in Stewartsville NJ. My husband and I remember her as a lovely woman. But what I personally remember is just watching her eyes watch her son Carl and all of her family that was present at whatever event was being held at the Karakos NJ home... and she just had this gleem in her eye. You could see it was such pride she felt watching her her kids and their families. Don & I are very fortunate to have known her, but how lovely a feeling it was for me to see the love she felt for her own. The eyes are the windows to one's soul, so I know that her love for the Karakos Klan will carry on and she will always be watching over all of her beloveds. May she rest in peace, and may Carl and the entire family find peace in having been loved by such a beautiful woman... mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, friend...
