Obituary of LOUIS E. SANTORA

Louis E. Santora passed away suddenly, Saturday morning, February 21, 2015 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. He was 82. Born and raised in Jersey City, he had lived in Parsippany, Montville, and Jackson before moving to Toms River in 2010. Mr. Santora served as a sergeant in the United States Army during peacetime. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Rutgers College, Newark in 1954. Mr. Santora worked with the Sandoz Pharmaceutical Company in East Hanover before his retirement as Vice President of Sales. Following his retirement, he founded his own consulting firm and worked for Phoenix Marketing in Lincoln Park. He was a longtime member and Eucharistic Minister at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany. Louis was also the former President of St. Peter's Home School Association. Mr. Santora enjoyed his volunteer work as a substitute teacher at St. Peter the Apostle School. He was also a former member of the Parsippany Traffic Safety Advisory Committee and was an avid supporter of Rutgers Alumni Association. Louis was a true gentleman and was beloved by all. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Louis Santora; and a brother, Emanuel Santora. Survivors include his beloved wife, Bernardine Ann (nee Lazur); a daughter, Maryann Santora Chimento and her husband Ciro of Rockaway; a son, Louis Santora and his wife Kim of Toms River; his sisters; Bernadette Santora of Brick and Gertrude Monaco of Forked River; his grandchildren, Frank & April Caruso, Marissa and Ed Kulahli, Jillian Santora, Andrew Santora, and Jared Chimento; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365 would be appreciated.
