Found a magnet on our refrigerator that said "Mothers are angels in the training". As Doug said, she graduated ... with honors.

Dear Dave, Dan, Doug,Colleen and Christina,
Where will I go now to have some fun? Louise was always the source of laughs, jokes and overall good times. I am glad to have shared in her love and kindness.
"Goldie" gave instant credibility to our fraternity at college by joining us at our favorite cafeteria table. The serious business students learned to lighten up and laugh with the beautiful campus queen contestant. She was the glue that kept us informed as we went our separate ways. As such, she will always remain the Alpha Delta Sigma "sweetheart".
The kindness she exhibited by visiting my mother at an assisted living facility on a regular basis was deeply appreciated. My mother always told me that June's friend had visited and I would try to explain that Louise was my friend also. She probably thought that I didn't know someone as kind and understanding as Louise.
Parental pride was exhibited at the high school football games when the boys were playing. I apologize for acting as if I didn't know her when she stood up in the stands and shouted "I am the Mother" after a good play developed on the field. Memories of those Saturday games will always be cherished.
Louise wanted Dave to shave his mustache and I will always remember the time she offered a waiter at a respectable restaurant $20 if he would clip it. This guy looked like a hitman and probably would have slit his throat for the money. I had to look away as he approached Dave. Fortunately, she did not make payment upfront and thus the "catepillar" was safe for one more day. The laughter ceased when the waiter approached Louise and was looking to see how much he could negotiate for a lock of her hair.
I think I got a message today as I heard the song " Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper on the radio. It made me think of Louise and the good time that she had with the family at "Kinky Boots" on Broadway.
It seems most appropriate that the funeral will be on a day of "The Blue Moon". Louise is the kind of person who comes into our lives............"Once In A Blue Moon"

Dear Dave, Danny, Doug, Colleen and Christina,
Louise has been a treasure to all who know her. I was so fortunate to have such a wonderful friend and share so many highlights in her life. She was a devoted wife who was so in love with Dave. They were ecstatic with the birth of their two sons and always provided a loving, supportive home. Dennis and I are honored to be their godparents and are blessed to share so many milestones in their lives. Louise made certain that things went perfectly, leaving no stone uncovered. Being Danny and Doug's mother was her greatest joy. She was so proud of their many accomplishments and so delighted when Christina and Colleen joined their family.
Louise brightened a room when she entered. Her smile and positive attitude was contagious and her repertoire of jokes always kept people laughing. When we were together, the time would fly as she transported us to a very happy place. Lunch dates were always filled with fabulous conversation and words of wisdom from Louise. If we had a question or needed clarification about a given topic, you could count on Louise to research the answer on the internet within an hour or two after we departed. The thought of not receiving her e-mail messages will leave an empty void in my daily routine.
"Goldie" brought sunshine and just as the sun rises and sets, it will rise again. May God hold you in the palm of his hand until we're together again.
June Eckardt

Dear Dave, Dan, Doug, Christina and Colleen,
To share a memory of Louise is difficult because there are so many memories. She was the kind of person who invited you to be her friend in the most welcoming way. My first memory of Louise would be at the ADS fraternity table at FDU. in 1969. I was an undergraduate studying to be a dental hygienist but that was a self contained separate department. One day i went to the student union building to visit my boyfriend at the fraternity table and a pretty blond girl greeted me. Louise, who was running for campus queen, came right up to me smiling and introduced herself as "Goldie" while asking for my vote. Louise was an all around people person who sincerely liked people.
Louise always remained devoted to keeping in touch with fraternity friends and that might seem like a small thing but in fact it is a very important thing. When life's trials and challenges begin to turn happy young teenagers into jaded adults, Louise reminded us that old friends are there to support each other and lift each other up. She was concerned for and devoted to all her friends and did a wonderful job of bringing us together to share the good times and heal our hearts. She left us way too soon and I will miss her terribly.
A more recent memory that I will carry with me always is when Louise was dancing at the wedding of Doug and Christina. Louise was dancing with Doug and she twirled around the dance floor with spot lights in her beautiful dress with her blond hair like a halo around her face. When she sat down at the table after the dance, I said to her; "Louise you look like an angel." Now she is an angel who I am certain is looking down at us wishing us the happiness and support that she always wished for us.

Dear Dave, Dan, Doug, Colleen and Christina,
My prayers and thoughts are with you in your time of such a great loss. Having Loise in my life for 27 years was such a blessing. I have such great memories raising our children together, St. Pius School, Class Moms, piling into the Van, 5th Base and when the kids were in school we had great shopping trips, lunches and real deep talks about life. She was always there for everyone that came into her life, including the puppy that she got for the kids and she ended up taking care of it 24 hours a day and would not go out and leave the dog all alone.
Louise was so proud of Dan and Doug, and was so happy to see them get married and expand the family. She loved when they came home to visit so she could cook for them. Waking up everyday and not receiving her silly e-mails will never be the same. How do I fill this void? I know that God now has a wonderful Angel in Heaven and she is at peace, but left many broken hearts behind. Everytime I hear or see Elvis I know that she is happy and singing along with him.
Heaven now will never be the same, nor will my life without her.
With all my love,
Julie Sanchez

Dave, Dan, Doug, Colleen & Christina, my deepest sympathy I share with you at the loss of an exceptional woman. One of a kind. Always putting family (&Elvis) first. My world will have a void without her in it. I am missing her, her emails, her calls, lunches. Reflecting back on all she did for so many, and the spirit and commitment she did it in. I am happy to have so many memories of fun times. Always made me laugh....or blush....
I know there's a place in Heaven where my friend "Louie" is at peace, and hopefully they have "Elvisburgers" there.
With love,
Cindy Vernicek
