Obituary of LYNELLE ELIZABETH ELLIS

On Monday, August 3, 2015, Lynelle Ellis passed away peacefully of natural causes at the Chelsea Assisted Living Facility in Montville, NJ. She was 89. Lyn was born on July 29, 1926 in Vernon, Texas to John Wesley and Elizabeth (Vaughn) Evans. Lyn gew up on a farm in Chollicothe, TX and married Calvin Ellis on June 12, 1947 in Lubbock, TX. She went to college for secretarial studies at Texas Tech. Her employment included being a secretary at AT & T and GE until she became a devoted full time mom for her sons, Mark and Alan. Their residences included Syracuse, NY, St. Louis, MO, and Pine Brook, NJ. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren and her hobbies included baking, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and tending her beautiful garden. Lynelle was predeceased by her husband Calvin; sisters, Norene Reed, Eleanor Lyle McKee, Clovis Evans, and Sula Evans; brothers, Leon Evans, John W. Evans, and Vaughn Evans. She is survived by her sons, Mark and his wife Jane of Rockaway, NJ and their children, Katherine, Scott, and Carolyn, and Alan of East Hanover, NJ and his children Jake, Robert, and Annabel, and their mother Claudine Sylvester.
