God Bless Sister Eileen... She was, hands down, the best teacher, I ever had. She was the only teacher that taught more than the subjects she taught.
Peace & Love, John Bis

Sister Rebecca....rip you are in a perfect place now. I regret that I did not contact you before your death. I have always loved you and I know you loved me. You were a tremendous influence on me 50 plus years ago and I appreciate it. I regret I never got to tell you that I pray every day now and go to Mass. My love and prayers to your family. I will never forget you. Thank you so very much. Maggie Hackett Fongaro

Thank you for genuinely caring about me. Even if I wasn't able to express my appreciation (I'm pretty sure I knew everything then) , you just kept on caring and not for personal reason - you were a rare soul that did everything you could for me and for the other kids. A truly amazing woman and teacher.

Sister Eileen, may you rest in peace. I'm very saddened by the news. I had a very special relationship with you. You taught me so many life lessons. I spent countless hours in the library. You gave me hundreds of articles about the Armenian genocide. I've saved every article, letter, and gift you ever gave me. God bless you!

I still imitate her to this day (that's a good thing). And I pray for those in need of an emergency vehicle when I hear their siren....she taught me to do that! I also remember that there is "a rat" in "separate" whenever I need help spelling that word :-) Thanks for those, and many other, life lessons Sr. Eileen!

Thank you Sister Eileen for the great life lessons I remember fondly our first meeting when you came to our class after a paper plane was thrown out of the classroom window. Your words were forever in my mind and soul the Question was who is Michael McHale I raised my hand and you stated you may have passed Algebra put you just failed navigation now get in the hall. Nothing like a dumb freshman to use a paper with his name on it, I remember all of our talks about our beloved Yankees and thanks for attending our baseball games through the years. You are forever in my thoughts Michael McHale Class of 77

Sister Eileen you were definitely one of my favorite teachers at St. Al's. I remember you could not figure out why we were all righting so frantically while you were lecturing/teaching. Then you showed us all your own version of short hand. One single notebook for a years worth of History education. Thank you. Also, thank you for helping to calm down when taking a test. Blessed we all were.
Colleen McHale, Class of 83.

I have been thinking of Sister Eileen recently due to the presidential candidates. She taught me history at St.Aloysius High School over 30 years ago. I value what she taught me especially when it came to our democratic system . I was blessed to have had her as a teacher
God Bless
