Obituary of PATRICK D. BRANDEAL

Patrick D. Brandeal passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home in Boonton Township. He was 69.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, Mr. Brandeal was raised in Hasbrouck Heights, and had lived in Boonton and Boonton Township since 1978.
He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ in 1970 where he earned four degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Chemical Engineering, He later earned a Master's Degree in Divinity from the Alliance Theological Seminary of Nyack, NY.
An engineer and contractor, Mr. Brandeal was the president and owner of Brandeal Construction of Boonton Township for over 40 years. Though he formally retired 20 years ago, he continued to do the work he loved on a volunteer basis while helping those in need.
Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mabel (O'Connor) Brandeal and a sister, Carol Heckert; Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gabriella (nee Manzione) Brandeal; a sister, Linda Brandeal Jackson and her husband George of Richland, WA.; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary and William Egan of North Haledon; three nephews, John Herkert, George Jackson Jr. and his wife Lisa, and Brian Jackson and his wife Janelle; two nieces, Jennifer Eelman and her husband Michael, and Michelle Gonzalez and her husband Glenn; and nine grand nieces and nephews.
Patrick was laid to rest on Thursday, August 10 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 2-4pm at the Hawthorne Gospel Church, 2000 Route 208 North, Hawthorne, NJ 07506 (973-427-6960).
