How can one just share one memory when I've known this wonderful women for over 45 years of my life. My best memories are our Hopatcong HS days, visiting after school, enjoying dinner with the Ventre family, dish washing duty, and the infamous drop down attic staircase; as I never knew if louis, jr or Mrs. Ventre will close them while up in Valerie's room..As a prank of course. She Taught me how to crochet blankets, and laugh at the many jokes when visiting.She was like a second Mom to me during the seventies. I still treasure the beautiful porcelain serving dishes she made me in her
Pottery class. We were Christmas pen pals and over all lucky to be a part of her wonderful family. I will miss laughing with you and ever so grateful to have had a day trip with her, my mom and Valerie. Mrs. ventre and my mother laughed all the way to the Nyack Christmas Tree shop. Valerie was driving, and im asking- what are you laughing at, Mrs Ventre replies- my mother's jokes and then we all start laughing..A great road trip to remember. There Is so much more I can write about my experience with this wonderful woman and the Ventre family. My heart and full fledged prayer go out to all of you.. I will remember her always with love, Cookie xoxo
