The Scully family sends their deepest condolences to the Picconi family & friends. Sammy the Bear was Loved by Many. He will Truly be Missed. All of us who knew him were Blessed. We were fortunate to be neighbors for many years. Sammy was definitely 1 of the Greatest! We will always Cherish the Fabulous Memories... Much too many to list. Will always remember riding in the back of his pickup truck. Funny how many of us he could fit in there. Sammy always had a Sparkle in eyes. He was always so happy to see you. He was a Gread Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather & I believe a Great Great Grandfather (?). He had a Beautiful Welcoming at Heaven's Door... His Beautiful wife Loretta, son Leo & daughter Diane. We all loved Sammy! He was always so good to all of the neighborhood kids! I will always remember his whistle, which we could hear blocks away, telling us it was time to come home. I'm sorry that you've all lost your Dad. You are all in my prayers.

Mr Picconi always took very good care of us crazy huge bunch of kids..... always a full house & always had time for all of us... especially at Halloween in the blue pick up truck. Think of him very often in my adult life. Great man ! Deepest condolences to the Picconi family.

Uncle Sammy was a great person and loved the family. I remember when I was small going to his cobbler shop in Hiawatha and playing with all the shoes. He is the last of the Great Generation of Picconi's. Jean and all the rest of the family Eric, Nicole and Lisa will miss him and his humor especially with Uncle Tony and Aunt Lily and Loretta. It was always an experience going out to dinner with that group. Uncle Sam rest in peace you will be missed by many friends and family.
