Obituary of SAM A. PICCONI

Sam A. Picconi Sr., 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 30, 2018.
Born and raised in Boonton, he was a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany since 1955.
Mr. Picconi served in the United States Navy during World War II and was attached to The Marine Corps. serving on Iwo Jima, having earned a Purple Heart.
He was an electrician with the IBEW Local 581 of Clifton before retiring 29 years ago.
Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Loretta (nee Tempesto) and his children Leo Picconi and Diane Picconi; Sam is survived by his loving children, Samuel A. Picconi, Jr (Susan), Robert L. Picconi (Elizabeth), Joann Borgers, and Cathy Hardenburg (Curtis); nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
