Obituary of DR. CHEN CHONG LIN

Dr. Chen Chong Lin passed away Thursday morning, August 23, 2018 at Troy Hills Nursing Center in Parsippany. He was 90.
Born in Chia Yi, Taiwan he immigrated to the United States in 1977 by way of Seattle, WA. and settled in Whippany, NJ. He had lived in Whippany for over 35 years before recently moving to Cedar Knolls.
Dr. Lin earned his Bachelor and Masters Degrees from National Taiwan University of Taipei, Taiwan and his PhD from Munich University of Munich, Germany.
He was a college professor for over 30 years, retiring in 1997. During his tenure, he served at National Taiwan University, Louisiana State University, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
He was a member of the NJ Taiwanese Association and the Fair Lawn Community Church, had served as an Elder with the Chong Lun Presbyterian Church of Taipei, Taiwan for 15 years, and was a affiliate member of the Taiwanese American Presbyterian Church of Ventura County, Camarillo, CA.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Mei-In Lin Chen in 2014. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ya Shue Tsai; two sons, Thomas Lin and his wife Janie of Whippany, and Victor Lin and his wife Lisa of California; a brother, Benjamin Lin of California; a sister, Chu In Yang of Canada; and six grandchildren, Elaine Lin, Peter Lin and his wife Xinying Mu, Krista Chen, Aaron Lin, Rachel Lin, and Andrew Lin.
