Obituary of CHU HSIA CHEN

Chu Hsia Chen passed away Saturday evening, January 18, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center following an extended illness. She was 65.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she immigrated to the United States in 1972, settling in New York, NY. She had lived in Washington Heights and Queens, NY before coming to Passaic, NJ in 1986. She had lived the last 25 years in the Towaco section of Montville Township.
Ms. Chen earned her Bachelors Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York, NY.
She was a partner in her family's business enterprises, proprietors of the High Noon Bar and Grill in Budd Lake for the last 30 years, and Powder Mill Plaza Liquors in Parsippany for 25 years.
Ms. Chen was preceded in death by her loving mother, Lucy Hsia Chen in 2016. Survivors include her beloved father, Yet Hai Chen of Towaco, NJ; her six siblings, Vivian Cavanero of Flushing, NY, Kim Chen of Towaco. NJ, Esther Chen of Greenwich, CT, John Chen of Flushing, NY, May Chen of Towaco, NJ, and Shan Chen of Towaco, NJ; two nieces, Jessica Lee Wohler and Sarada Chen; a nephew, Robert Cavanero; and two great nephews, Odin and Byrne Wohler.
