Obituary of AUGUST M. D'ONOFRIO

Mr. August M. D'Onofrio died Tuesday morning, February 28, 2006 at Care One in Parsippany. He was 76. Born in Belleville, he was a lifelong resident before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 2003. Mr. D'Onofrio served in the United States Army from 1946-1949. He was a Date Processing Manager with the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark for 10 years before retiring in 2003. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for many years with the Amax Specialty Metals Company in Parsippany. He was preceded in death by his wife Lena (nee Santangelo) and a sister Irene. Survivors include, a son, Leonard A. D'Onofrio of Belleville; a daughter, Lisa Prezioso and her husband Tom of Lake Hiawatha; a brother, Lawrence D'Onofrio of West Caldwell; three sisters, Elvera Zinni and Phyllis Parillo both of Florida and Emma Caleskie of Massachussets; and three grandsons, Tommy, Anthony, and Vinny Prezioso of Lake Hiawatha.
