Mr. Peter Michael Jacenty died peacefully Sunday evening, October 8, 2006 at his home in Parsippany. He was 85.
Born and raised in Irvington, he had lived the last 40 years in Parsippany.
Mr. Jacenty served in the United States Army during World War II. He was stationed in France, Belgium and Germany.
He had worked as a tool maker with Gelco in East Hanover before retiring 20 years ago.
An avid fisherman, Mr. Jacenty was a member of the Ukrainian American Veterans, Post # 6 in Irvington and was a member and treasurer with the 1st Ukrainian Presbyterian Church in Newark.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Jeanette "Jay" (nee Zablotny); two daughters, Marcia Ann Jacenty and Lynn Jacenty both if Parsippany; and a sister, Olga Glidden of Chatham.
