To Uncle Mickey, Mary Beth, and especially Victoria Faith - I'll always remember times shared and memories made with all of my cousins even though it's been many years ago and I've moved far away. Catherine will be missed by everyone -- she was very brave and courageous - she'll be looking down from Heaven on all of you.
To Victoria Faith - you are the miracle that your mom has given to everyone so always remember "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." Albert Einstein
"This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life".

I been blessed with two courageous, funny, smart, strong willed daughters. The love between my daughters was inspirational. I always said they might had disagreed between themselves but no one ever came between their love of each other.
Cathie is with her angels now, and I'll miss her more than I can say. Victoria, Caity, Marybeth, Rick, Ranelle and I will continue the love that Cathie has shown us by example. Love Dad

Dear Cathie:
I was your softball team's Manager, your moving man, your Xmas lights hanger, your pool closer, your brother-in-law and your friend. I knew you from your college days. Over the long years we laughed; we cried. We loved our family. We loved our Victoria.
I miss you now, but I know I'll be seeing you in heaven.
I always thought of you as my little sister. You lived with great courage and inspired us all.

My heartfelt condolences go out, not only to Cathie's family, but also to her friends and the countless others who drew strength from her. As reenactors, we strive to honor those who fought to preserve this nation. Cathie fought other battles as well. I will remember her for her friendship, her courage, her will, her defiance and her love. Those of us that she touched will never forget. We will miss you in the ranks.

I have read about Cathy and her illness and her daughter in the Daily Record over the years. I was very touched by Cathy's story. She seemed to be an amazing woman. She gave her daughter more love in the short years she was with her than many give in a lifetime. I know Victoria Faith's family will tell her many wonderful things about her mother as she grows and becomes a woman herself. May her mother's hand and heart guide her always.
Sincerely yours,
Charlotte R. Neggia

Seems to me that the 15th--and the world at large--has lost quite a person. Cathie will be missed. She was a gracious, funny and altogether engaging woman who clearly enjoyed her time "in the field" as much as we enjoyed her company 'round the campfire.
Gentlemen: here's to Cathie!

My deepest sympathies to Cathie's family. I knew her through Civil War reenacting and followed her journey through the disease she battled. Victoria has a wonderful legacy to follow in her mother. I pray she will cherish that memory and the gift of life as she grows older and makes her own place in the world.

It is with deep condolences we offer for the passing of Catherine Doroshenko. We were acquainted through our hobby of Civil War re-enacting. She has been missed around the campfire and at the events. She enjoyed and endured our silliness and we enjoyed her presence and her laughing at our stupid jokes.
