Obituary of RANDALL T. CHAVE

Mr. Randall Taylor Chave died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack. He was 64. Born in Hoboken, he had lived in Union City and Emerson before moving to the Towaco section of Montville Township 35 years ago. Mr. Chave was a 1960 graduate of Emerson High School and earned his BS in Health and Physical Education from Seton Hall University in 1964. He had worked as an educator and athletic director with North Bergen High School for 40 years before retiring in 2004. Mr. Chave was a member of the Hudson County Hall of Fame for his tenurein Basketball. He had also coached the North Bergen High School Basketball team for the last 30 years. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Dolores A. (nee Notte); a daughter, Bryn E. Strong and her husband Adam of New York, NY; a sister, Ellen Schaffer of Wood Ridge; and a brother, Curtis Chave of Point Pleasant.
