My brother,Mel never fails to give me his thoughts. Its so easy for me to reach out to him, whenever I need to speak to him, he would visit me in my dream. dear everyone,
this coming monday is melvin's birthday. he wld love to share this day with his friends. knowing him, maybe he would celebrate this with his friends, cook his fav inasal chicken with roasted peppers, his fav pansit which i help him prep. we had one of those special moments in the kitchen where i taught him how to do his mise en place- he had a good ear, he always listens without any remarks. he was a very good brother and i missed him terribly. i remember that at the start of the fall season, he would decorate the house. how i wish he was still here to spend the bounty of the fall season.

To all the dear friends and colleagues of my loving brother Melvin: In behalf of my family, we humbly thank you for all your prayers and support. And most especially for touching my brother's life to his fullest. He had a good life because of people around him who in one way and another had touched him and gave him wisdom. Last week, my family buried his lovely gold heart in our hometown and this sunday, his ashes will touch the visayan sea as what he had wanted. Deep in my heart I know that he is with our Lord because it is only with God that He has found the LOVE that he really longed for here on earth.May all of us continue to pray for his perpetual light to shine forever and for his everlasting peace. Melvin was one of the most admired students of USLS Class 1993. 'Though we were not in the same section, i remember him as someone who's intelligent yet humble, someone who's full of life. Words could never express the sorrow I feel. I am so grateful for all the time we spent together over the past three years, especially the long walk in Ramapo Park last month. What a wonderful last memory...walking that long nature trail for almost 3 hours! just you, me and Kofi on a glorious fall day.
I only wish you could have stopped somewhere along the trail, sat down and and opened up about what you were feeling so that maybe I could have helped. I wish I could have grabbed you and screamed out loud how much your life meant to me and other around you. Maybe you would have understood.
I can never judge you or your life or what you were going through. I am only here to celebrate your sweet smile, your wonderful laugh, your style, your kind and gentle manner...YOUR LIFE. I will truly miss your jokes and smile....it's unfortunate to lose such a wonderful person...unfortunate that I just met you this year,yet it felt like we knew each other for years! we had so much fun when we were together and that I will never forget....sorry if I wasn't there for you maybe more than what I could have been....now I only have our memories to live by and that is something I will never forget......though I never got to tell you ......I LOVE YOU!
