David and I were partners at work for the past two years, and we grew very close. I learned a lot about the business and food from David. He was the most knowledgable and proud chef i have ever met. David loved his job and his passion of being a chef. Nothing meant more to him then to show off his culinary skills. I want to wish all of the best of luck to Davids children, who he worked so hard just to try to give them everything in the world. Ricky if i can ask one thing for your father go to college and follow your dreams, and Belinda keep your path in radio, David was very proud of it. The whole restaurant industry would ask if David and i were brothers and my famous line would be to David is if anything he would be my father. Davids other famous line to me when people would confuse us was one Rosen is as good as another. We miss you and Villa will never be the same.
Your friend and partner

Dave was our neighbor for many years in Kinnelon; he always had a bright smile and a strong sincere handshake to offer. Dave and I were the same age so we both were raising our children and sharing the trials and tribulations of being a parent, we had many a laugh together over some of the things our kids did while growing up and shared notes. Dave was also a supporter of the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Company, donating many of the items needed to make it a more profitable fund raiser, he was always eager to help the volunteers, but would always tell me "I'll do anything I can for you guys but go in the fire" not his thing!
We will miss Dave and wish Cheryl, Belinda & Ricky our most sincere condolences.
