Obituary of JEAN ANNE EL-HAJJ

Jean Anne El-Hajj died peacefully Thursday morning, August 7, 2008 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She was 77.
Born and raised in Shenandoah, PA, she had lived in Philadelphia, PA., and Union before moving to Parsippany in 1972.
She was a graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School.
She had worked for the customer service department at Newsweek Magazine in Mountain Lakes for many yeras before her retirement. Previously, she worked as an office mananger for Dr. Harry Holtz in East Orange for over 20 years and as a hairdresser in Shenandoah, PA.
Miss El-Hajj was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Morris Musicmen Barber Shoppe Quartet. She was also a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany where she was a lector and member of the Adoration Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George J. Sr. and Lizzie El-Hajj; her siblings, Mary El-Hajj, Joseph El-Hajj, Lurene Reppucci, Helene Haggar, Alma Anthony, and George J. El-Hajj, Jr.
Survivors include three nieces, Mary Haggar, Helene Haggar and Jean Brooks; two nephews, George and Gerard Anthony; a step-niece, Janina Roncevic; eight grand-nephews and nieces and five great-nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, Aug.. 10, 3-6pm only at the funeral home. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Monday morning, August 11, 11:00am at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Parsippany. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Peter's Food Pantry would be most appreciated.
