Obituary of FLOYD A. BECKER

Floyd Arthur Becker Jr. died Sunday evening, February 22, 2009 at his home in Newton. He was 71. Born in Morristown he was a longtime resident of the Mount Tabor section of Parsippany. He had also lived in New York, Florida, and Hopatcong before moving to Newton six years ago. Mr. Becker had worked as a draftsman with the Compton Press in Morris Plains for many years before retiring 10 years ago. He had also worked as a special police officer with the Parsippany Police Departmentmany years ago. He was a longtime member of the Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. He had also been a member and former Captain of the Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife, Diane E. Perkins; five children, David Becker, Dennis Becker, Laurie Vander Bogert, Dawn Becker and Jason Becker; a step-daughter, Miranda Ann Perkins; and six grandchildren.
