my dear Friend-thank you for blessing my life with your kindness, your love, your presence. I love you. You knew me, and you simply loved me. Thank you.
I have a lot of "remember when's" but hopefully they will be "never forget's". Never forget your smile, your laugh. Never forget that I knew to turn the radio off before you got into the car. Never forget that no matter how many times I said "I'll call you"-you would always say "okay, so I'll call you in the morning." I will never forget that no matter where I was driving to, you always claimed that it was "on the way". I will never forget that when I told you repeatedly....there are many ways to get to Morristown that don't involve "passing your way", how you would smile with your little "he,he,he" because you knew that I knew that you loved spending time with me. I will never forget that on December 26th, you were asking me about next Christmas. We celebrated holidays and we celebrated "no days"--I will never forget that you are part of my family.
I will never forget my 5th Anniversary, how I spoke about you, without mentioning your name--because that's the kind of friend you are.....but when i stepped away from the podium, YOU made it obvious who I was speaking of because you were so happy---happy to be my friend--
I will never forget how you cradled my face in the palms of your hands each time you kissed me "hello" and "goodbye"
I will never forget that 25 years ago...I did not know you-and then I did.
I will never forget....that I always want to remember......you...my friend.
