Frank A. Manzione Jr. died suddenly, January 26, 2010 at his home in Morris Township. He was 60 years old.
He was born on August 4, 1949 in Paterson, NJ, and was the son of Dr. Frank A. Manzione and Mary Kinney Manzione. He attended local Public Schools # 14, 5 and John F. Kennedy High School located in the Totowa section of Paterson. After high school he also attended two prepatory schools in Massachucetts and NJ and then graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson Universtiy in Teaneck in 1973 with a B.A. in Psychology as well as a concentration in Engineering.
Since 1991, Frank resided in Morristown, NJ and worked at the Springbrook Country Club for over 15 years in the same city. In addition, he ran a seasonal house painting and repair business. Frank had an inventive, generous, and adventursome spirit and took pleasure in the game of golf and in visiting NYC and Atlantic City sites. He held a lifelong curiosity regarding scientific discoveries; and his characteristic conversant style, supportive listening skill and sense of humor attracted many friends and acquaintances. He was well known in the Morristown area especially as a faithful volunteer at First Night. Even when faced with significant heath challenges he remained a constant walker and could frequently be spotted strolling throughout the city and eating at various favorite restaurants.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Mary Eagan and Gabriella Brandeal both of Boonton; as well as two nieces, Jennifer Eelman of North Haledon and Michelle Gonzalez of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and he greatly loved his two grand nephews and one grand niece: Nathan, Christopher, and Rachel.
Frank will be missed by all who knew and loved him and were touched by his life. He blessed our lives and so may he now rest with Him in His eternal loving arms.
