Obituary of RUSSELL J. MORAN

Russell James Moran died peacefully, Tuesday morning, March 14, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was 61.
Born and raised in Bloomfield, he had lived in the Pine Brook section of Montville since 1988.
Mr. Moran was employed with Mercedes Benz USA in Montvale for 34 years. He began his career as a senior programming analyst and retired two years ago as a business project leader when he bacame ill.
He was a longtime member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Montville where he sang in the Choir. He had also been active as a singer, drummer and saxophone player with various bands including 45RPM and Gideon for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by a brother, G. Steven Moran.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Esther A. (nee Laudati); his daughter, Jaime Novak of Montville; a sister, Jeanne Pica of Montville; a brother, Michael J. Moran III and his wife Kathleen of Bloomfield; and his granddaughter, Makenzie Novak. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Irene Laudati; his nieces and nephews, Samuel Pica and his wife Anna, Sherise LaMorte and her daughters, Samantha and Sabrina, Jacqueline Moran and Steven Moran, and their mother, Joann Moran.
