I just got a message via e-mail about Mary and Bart from Maura Moneymaker. I am so shocked and saddened by this news. As you know, I have known Mary since we were 7 years old living on Isham St. I hardly know what to say or write at this time but I know in my heart that they are together in Heaven having discussions about this and that. Your family will be on our prayer list. We feel so sad.....

I was so shocked, as everyone else here at the NIU today, & saddened to hear of the untimely loss of your parents. The little I know of your parents shows they were brilliant and no wonder have brilliant good natured children such as you. Mary and Bart were the quintessential couple, loving and living with joy, devoted to each other and to their beautiful family. Mary was an essential member of the Development team at The Seeing Eye. She was a stickler for detail and for doing every job right. Mary's zest for life gave us great laughter, and her joy in travel rewarded us with vivid descriptions of places toured. She was delighted beyond measure as her grandchildren arrived and we delighted with her. Mary - good woman, great worker, fun at any gathering, friend - we love you, we miss you, we hand you over to God's welcome embrace. We know our own journey to the great beyond will be easier with you there, you, your love, your great smile and laugh to welcome us home.
