Obituary of BARTHOLOMEW J. & MARY T. MOYNAHAN

Bartholomew John and Mary Teresa Moynahan (nee McEvoy) died suddenly, Saturday morning, May 5, 2012 following an automobile accident in Lamar, Pennsylvania. He was 79 and she would have celebrated her 78th Birthday on May 6th. Both born in New York, NY, the couple had lived in New City, NY, and Framingham, MA., before moving to Parsippany in 1970. A 1954 graduate of Villanova University, Mr. Moynahan was employed as an insurance analyst with the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark for nearly 30 years before retiring in 1999. Mrs. Moynahan had worked as a development coordinator with the Seeing Eye in Morristown, retiring 4 years ago. The couple were longtime parishioners of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany and were avid travelers. They are survived by their three children, Thomas G. Moynahan and his wife Elizabeth McCartney of Bloomfield, Eileen Moynahan and her husband Edwin Diaz of Montebello, NY, and Theresa A. Moynahan of Cambridge, MA.; Mr. Moynahan's siblings, Margaret Stolley of Erie, PA., John Moynahan of Pittsfield, MA., and Timothy Moynahan of Dallas, OR.; two grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth and Keira Siobhan Moynahan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
