Ellen, Jeanne, & Suzy,
I was so sorry to hear the news. My thoughts are with you all. It seems like only yesterday that I was an awkward teenager trying to find my way; fighting with my parents.
Rita and Joe were always there for me. Many times you girls would not be home and your folks would still have me in and we would talk for hours. Your mom would always want to know how college was, did I meet a Nice Jewish Girl. etc. My fondest memory was after a HUGE fight with my folks, your mom listened to me and reminded me that things are not that bad and I am lucky to have such parents. I had not realized but our moms knew each other many years earlier. When we were done talking Joe put his arm on my shoulder and sat with me on the back steps and we talked over beer. You had the coolest parents!

To Ellen and the whole family,
