Rosa Occhipinti (nee Pappalardo) passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, May 11, 2022 at VNA Hospice at St. Clare's in Dover. She was 79. Born in Acicastello, Catania, Italy, Rosa immigrated to the United States in 1969, settling in Brooklyn, NY. She later lived in Orange, NJ before coming to Parsippany in 1992. Mrs. Occhipinti had worked with ShopRite Supermarkets for many years, most recently at the Morris Plains store before her retirement in 2006. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Giovanni Occhipinti; her two beloved children, Daniela Conditi and John J. Occhipinti both of Parsippany; and two granddaughters, Renee and Marisa Conditi. She was preceded in death by her brother, Santo Pappalardo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, May 14, 1-4pm at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha. Private cremation will follow.
