Obituary of Julio Wong
Julio Wong, 85, of Parsippany, peacefully passed away on July 29th, 2022.
He was born in Guangdong, China, then moved to Peru before emigrating to the United States.
Julio is survived by his loving wife Tulia (nee: Chau). He was the beloved father to daughter Dr. Tanya Wong, of Parsippany, NJ; son Dr. Zelig Wong and his wife Ming, of Morris Plains, NJ; and son Eddy Wong, of Boston, MA. Loving grandfather to Taylor Wong. Julio was predeceased by his sister Soothing Hui.
Julio began his agricultural career working in the cotton and rice industries in Northern Peru. He owned and operated a convenience store in the 70's in Lima and later owned a poultry farm through the 80's and 90's. Upon retirement in 2007, Julio and his wife moved to New Jersey to be closer to his children.
In his spare time Julio enjoyed gardening, photography, painting, reading, Chinese calligraphy, poetry and history.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday August 7th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at S. J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Services, 60 N. Beverwyck Rd., Lake Hiawatha, NJ 07034.
